The Metal Chipwood Bench is part of the extensive research on the Metal Skins, where all kinds of materials are used as a mold to press textures into metal. For this bench chipwood is used as a mold to press the texture into polished stainless steel. The texture mirrors the surroundings in a distorted way. Colors, light and shadow of the surroundings will be reflected criss-cross in the surface of the bench and will change constantly when you move around.
