CIBONE will be holding the first solo exhibition in Japan of Job van den Berg, who creates his works in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
Titled “Crash-Holic,” this exhibition focuses on his renowned Crash series. Starting from toy cars, Job delves into various toys around him, reminiscent of his childhood memories. Through the act of crashing these toys, he explores new perspectives and values, aiming to reinterpret the essence of objects.
Central to his approach is a profound respect for materials and manufacturing processes, finding new value within them. This exhibition not only interprets contemporary pop art but also evokes nostalgia, presenting a unique expression of engaging with objects in a new way. Displayed are unique pieces that unmistakably inherit the lineage of Dutch design.
