Brickwork porcelain

2024

The original vase is built miniature stone by miniature stone. This process is time-consuming and quite costly. To make the brickwork vases more accessible, we created molds from various vases and objects and produced some porcelain versions. Due to the complex and difficult-to-release shape, the first vase required a 15-part mold. To make the attention and complexity of the entire process as visible as possible, the seams of the mold were intentionally left exposed. The inside of the vase is finished with a transparant glazed. The porcelain vase is a numbered and limited edition of 100 pieces. The cups and containers, however, are not. The number, year, and signature are scratched into the bricks. Some vases even have additional “vandalistic” markings in the stones. 🙂
